In a few words tell us about yourself.

I am married with 6 kids 3boys 3girls, after my secondary education I studied Tourism up to HND level and went ahead to pursue PGDM and MBA Entrepreneurship. I have also attended a lot of training and conferences on tourism travels and hospitality industry and I am widely traveled.

What inspired your interest in the hospitality and tourism industry?

My determination and zeal to contribute to the growth and development of the industry and also my interest in travel and meeting new people.

What’s your vision for the hospitality & tourism industry? 

My vision is to reposition the Nigerian hospitality and tourism thereby making Nigeria a tourism hub in view of our rich cultural heritage and abundant natural resources.

In what ways has your company contributed to the growth of the hospitality industry and its stakeholders?

We have done so by investing in resort and tourism development and have also been working with other stakeholders to develop the sector.

What are your major challenges in your business?

The major challenges today are that of insecurity, economic uncertainty and lack of good infrastructure in our country today.

What are your thoughts on the state of the hospitality & tourism industry in Nigeria?

The state of tourism and hospitality in Nigeria is lacking the necessary attention and push for the country to attain the benefits that come with the development of the sector.

How do you intend to join in the campaign of changing the game and perception of the hospitality & tourism industry in Nigeria?

By embarking on advocacy and working with both government and stakeholders to change the narrative and create the right environment for tourism to thrive.

Words of wisdom for intending and current industry stakeholders. 

We need to put all hands on deck to move the industry forward by coming together to forge a way forward for the industry, your current efforts towards identifying stakeholders and bringing them together are highly commendable, I am sure if sustained will go a long way to bring a positive change.
